Message to Mommas

Updated: 5 days ago

Whether you’re a single mom, feeling like a single mom, or a mom in a healthy thriving marriage… we all experience challenges and it’s so powerful when we can stand together as women and lovingly support one another. There is such beauty in holding up a sister. It strengthens us. In a world that seems to pick us apart, labels us, and seems to judge every move we make, let’s keep our eyes on the One who teaches us to love.

Welcome to a community where you are seen and appreciated. You are loved and highly valued. You have been tasked with the most important position of raising our youth, the next generation. Helping to form their world view. There is no more important responsibility.  The most important work we do is with the walls of our own home.

Please make yourself at home and browse the resources available including resources for your physical health, mental health, and even discounts and recommendations for products we use everyday, for the household and kiddos. Special resources for single mommas and those healing from abuse.

As a survivor myself, this is near and dear to my heart. I am raising my 3 girls on my own and I am beyond grateful for what God has brought me through and all He has lovingly taught me on the way. I’m still healing, still learning as we all are, at every stage of life. I’m so grateful to share any information that has helped me on my journey as I pray it will bless you on yours.

Please know that you are loved, and especially if you have been a victim of domestic abuse, you don’t have to remain a victim and I am excited to see you move into a safe space where you will blossom and THRIVE.

Here are a few books that have helped me on my journey. I pray you find healing in these resources:

Awaken - This is one of my favorite devotionals. Priscilla Shirer beautifully ties Gods word into daily lessons we all encounter. I read this one twice.

Run Like Hell by Nadine Macaluso PhD- If you are escaping a narcissistic entrapment, this book is a masterpiece. Written by a survivor - it's a great place to gather your thoughts and formulate a game plan. I especially enjoyed chapter 8 - Post traumatic GLOW UP!!! It's a beautiful thing when we can shift from victim- to survivor- to WATCH ME THRIVE. Great as an audiobook while you move through your day. This book helped me to get out of my head and make some moves.

Captivating - Unveiling The Mystery Of A Woman's Soul, by John & Staci Eldredge- Available in paperback and as a bible study. The book purchase also gives you access to a video series of the biblical insight led by the author. We did this as a small group in my church led by a female pastor. I encourage every woman to read this. If you have a few girlfriends to join you - even better. This book helps us understand the way that God created women in His image. Truly will help you read scripture with a lens fine tuned to how God sees us as women and how perfectly loved you are. It is both humbling and empowering. The study digs into how we relate to one another as women, motherhood, sisterhood and more. The result is a more intimate relationship with Jesus and a renewed perspective of your own identity.

The Mountain Is You by Brianna Weist - Another wonderful tool to get you out of your head and into motion. Get unstuck and get honest with yourself. I have the audible and hardcopy because I love to highlight the points that hit home!

Shepherding A Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp - This is a gem. A guide to help us as parents learn how to speak to the heart of our children. Insightful for parents with children of all ages.
